CM Heating Performed maintenance on tankless hot water tank. Customer has a concern with error code 10 being activated intermittently. I’ve check and confirm there is not air flow/exhaust restriction. I’ve made one configuration setting to the control board which should match the venting length according to the physical primeters specification according to the manufacturers data. If this does not solve the issue, then the system may need replacing since there is a history of attempted repairs but no solid solution. There may be a factory defective part that is not serviceable.

Customer stated that the red box under the tankless system was making a very loud noise. Upon investigation, the technician found that the condensate pump has failed and unable to pump water through line. I replaced pump and test ran unit to ensure proper drainage. No issues at this time

Customer's tankless system is not working properly and they currently are without hot water. It was difficult to understand the customer, but sounds like she has been in contact with Rannai and they referred her to us. She mentioned having the builder pay for this visit but I explained that payment was required at time of visit. She said she would write a check and worry about reimbursement from the construction company. Please try to diagnosis. She provided her Rannai case number #303493 and said that Rannai determined that the issue was due to installation, not the equipment. Upon investigation, the technician found that the tankless system was displaying an error code 19, which indicates a grounding fault. Unit has a loose or shorted wire that can not be located at this time due to the problem being resolved while double checking all connections. Problem is/was in one of the connections but was never specifically located. System is currently in good/proper working order but issue may or may not happen again. If so further diagnosis on the factory wire connections should be performed.
