CM Heating Performed a diagnostic service on the gas fireplace. 1. Found the bimetal thermopile has worn and failed. 2. The pilot and igniter is weaken from normal wear and tear. 3. Gas valve is sticking. If going the repair route, recommend replacing the entire pilot assembly and gas valve. Due to age and the worn out conditions of the glass, firebox, logs, and overall condition of the unit...from a technician view point its recommend to replace the system with a new fireplace.
