Customer stated that their furnace was not producing heat. He attempted to reset the furnace per the instructions but that did not solve the issue. Upon diagnosis, the technician found that the gas furnace would not turn on and unit was blowing cold air upon arrival. I checked error code 2 flashes (external lockout). After resetting the unit I found that in the operation the gas valve was not initially opening. I adjusted the wiring a bit and was able to bring energy to the component. There is either a connection issue with the pins or the gas valve has loose parts in it and will need to be replaced to avoid intermittent operation.

Customer says they have replaced their blower motor and circuit board on their Rheem Gas Furnace, and says they have traced it back to the circuit board. Says there is no voltage from the circuit board to charge the capacitor. Upon investigation, the technician found that the installed blower motor was not grounded properly when installed and fried the motor. It will need to be replaced and recommend going with OEM part. Estimate will be sent out.

Customer had routine maintenance preformed on their gas furnace yesterday and now their furnace is not producing heat. Their thermostat is displaying a "not connected" error message. Upon diagnosis, the technician found that the issues was with the thermostat not communicating with EIM. After resetting thermostat, it was connected and all issues were solved.

Customer recently had a Coleman gas furnace installed in their home and stated that now their furnace is not coming on. Upon investigation, the technician found that the inducer coupling had the vent drain hose on the top outlet instead of the bottom opening where the water would drop. This caused excessive water to accumulate in the PVC because of the horizontal left positioning, which forced the furnace to shut off on a diagnostic code of 3 red flashes (vent issue). I corrected issue and drained all water in the inducer assembly. Unit fired up with no issues and ran unit for 10 mins to ensure proper drainage. No other issues at this time.

customer says furnace is currently working properly now, however yesterday it was not. He said they set the thermostat, furnace started normally, flame came on for about 5-6 seconds and then it shut off. He said it displayed error codes 10, 11, 13. Upon investigation, I found that the flame sensor was dirty which was not sending clear signals all the time even when flames are present. I pulled sensing rod out and cleaned it, after reinstalling the micro amps are 4.0 which is good. I inspected all other components and all are within manufacturers specifications. Recommend annual maintenance and blower wheel cleaning. Unit is operational and out put at nearest vent is 129 degrees.

We recently installed custom'er furnace however the customer stated that their heat will not turn on. The technician arrived and found a cold house. Thermostat set to 68 house temp was at 60 hasn’t came on all day. Furnace fault code was flashing 8 time says it the igniter or grounding issue. I tested the igniter and it was at like 54 olhms which is like brand new. So I checked for proper grounding. And found inside the EAC a ground screw that wasn’t connected connected it with the ground screw. See pics for more information. Ive cycled the furnace on and off 6 to 7 times and it fire right away with no concerns. All operations normal at this time.

Customer stated that their gas furnace will not come on. Upon investigation, the technician found that the thermostat was giving call for heat, but furnace would not turn on. I opened the door panel and traced out the voltage which lead to the control board. Control board upon being energized would turn on the LED the quickly dim and turn off. This led me to believe the board was bad. I then pulled the board off the panel and found severe browning on the back side which is an indicator that the board had failed. All other components able to be checked in the unit were good. Blower wheel is dirty and could use a cleaning. No other issues at this time.

Customer called in and said their furnace will not shut off. Upon investigation, the technician found that the fan would not turn off. Upon arrival I checked the Thermostat to verify if the fan had been left on, it was set to circulation. I reset it to auto, however the fan would not turn off. I went to inspect the AH and disconnected the G wire for the fan from the EMI, but the fan remained on. The only time the fan would turn off was if 24V was not running to it. This lead me to believe that the blower control board may have a relay that is stuck open. I explained to owner that the fan is ok to have on continuously through out the day. This unit should be under warranty, we will be ordering a new board. No other issues at this time.

Customer stated their blower fan is consistently running. She has had the furnace off all summer and just fired it up and it will just blow consistently. Upon investigation, the technician found that the damper control was sending 24V to G terminal while switched off. This indicates a stuck closed relay. I disconnected it and tested the unit. Due to age of unit, I would recommend upgrading to a more efficient model.

Customer has a 3 year old American Standard gas furnace, she said that her furnace and thermostat were fried and not working. She had an electrician come by and inspect it, but he wasn't able to do anything. Upon investigation, I found that the thermostat has failed due to a power surge that hit the home. I also found that the fuse on the control board was blown and the contactor at the condenser was fried along with wiring. I replaced thermostat, contactor, and fuse/wiring and tested all modes of operation. All components are within manufacturers specifications and system fully operational. Recommend annual maintenance and power surge protector for either home or equipment.

Please leave on experienced tech. Customer says the "summer fan switch" (i think) has never worked on their system. She had an electrician out, who recommended PSE come look, PSE recommenced us. The technician found that the furnace needed to be re-wired for summer fan capabilities. Following the re-wiring all operations are normal at this time.
